Adding Bangla Font (or other) on Android Emulator (MAC LION)

1. Go to http://onkur.sourceforge.net/?page_id=42&lang=en
2. Download any of the font like for SolaimanLipi
3. Open Eclipse go to assets folder and paste the font
4. Now write the following code

TextView tv3 = (TextView) findViewById(R.id.tv3);  
Typeface font = Typeface.createFromAsset(getAssets(), "SolaimanLipi-8-Jan-2011.ttf");  
tv3.setTypeface(font); 
tv3.setText("মজা");

5. Run the emulator.

Setup Android Environment on MAC OS X Lion

1. Go to Terminal
2. Type java
3. If not install click Install
4. Go to http://developer.android.com/index.html
5. Download the Android SDK according to your OS
6. Go to http://www.eclipse.org/
7. Download the Eclipse Classic 3.7.2 64 bit or 32 bit according to your machine
8. Move the Android SDK to user folder
9. android-sdk-macosx -> tools -> android, click open
10. Download ADT Plugin for Eclipse from http://developer.android.com/sdk/index.html
11. Ecilpse -> Help -> Install New Software (add enter “ADT Plugin” for the Name and the following URL for the Location: https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/)
